Welcome to Historic Downtown Hannibal.

Historic Downtown Hannibal is notably the home of one of America's most famous authors, Mark Twain. Here you will find his Boyhood home and the scenery that was the setting and inspiration for The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. In recent years Downtown Hannibal has become a colony for local artists. Our streets features several art galleries, museums, handmade pottery, local theatre groups, and local antique shops. You can find live music almost every night from any of the local watering holes. When you're tired of hitting the sights there is a dining establishment for everyone - from a local brewery, fine European dining, coffee shop, clean eating, diner joints, and more.  Historic Downtown Hannibal is truly a destination for the cultured soul and those who love a small town getaway.

The Historic Hannibal Marketing Council is a non-profit organization.
