Welcome to the only trivia night where the answer is always Chocolate! Join us for an fun-filled evening of chocolate themed trivia at Finn's Food & Spirits. An all-you-can-eat appetizer bar is included with your ticket purchase. Chocolatier Trivia Challenge winners will each receive a free Chocolate Extravaganza Passport and bragging rights. Come together or come alone - we can pair you with chocolate lovers like yourself. If you are purchasing tickets separately and would like to be partnered with other participants, email ChocolateExtravaganzaHannibal@gmail.com and we can seat you together accordingly.

Saturday, March 11th

10am-6pm: Guessing Game to Win Jewelry

  • Where: AVA Goldworks
  • 10am - 6pm
  • Guess the # of chocolates in the jar to win a piece of AVA jewelry.
  • Cost: Free

11AM: Cooking Demonstration, free!

  • Where: Mississippi Marketplace
  • 11am
  • Join us for a free cooking demonstration on how to make the most delivious and decadent Chocolate Gravy. This annual cooking demonstration is a facorite of the children but especially the adults. We will be sampling the chocolate gravy on of course Biscuits! Due to popularity we will offer this at 11:00 am and again 2:00pm.

11AM-2PM: Use a fabric Yo Yo Maker!

  • Where: Bits & Pieces
  • 11am to 2pm
  • Learn to use a fabric Yo Yo maker. See different ideas to embellish clothing and accessories .
  • Cost: Free

1-3PM: The Museum and the Chocolate Factory

  • Where: Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum
  • 1-3pm
  • This is a family fun event with chocolaty games and prizes all based around the famous characters from the original 1971 movie “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” featuring Gene Wilder. Children, and adults, of all ages can try their luck at Charlie Bucket’s newspaper toss, Violet Beauregarde’s grape stomp, compete in Augustus Gloop’s pie-eating contest, Veruca Salt’s egg putting challenge, Willy Wonka’s pin-the-hat game and even snap a photo in Mike Teavee’s Wonka Vision Studio Booth.

2pm-6pm: Wine tasting

  • Where: Badger Cheese Haus
  • 2pm to 6pm
  • Variety of wines including chocolate wine too.
  • Cost: $6.00

2pm-4pm: Ribbon Embellishment demonstration

  • Where: Bits & Pieces
  • 2pm to 4pm
  • Ribbons can be used to enhance and beautify clothing, bags and more. Come see how a piece of beautiful ribbon can make your look one of a kind.

2pM: COOKING DEMONSTRATION, FREE!

  • Where: Mississippi Marketplace
  • 11am

3pm-5pm: Pianist, Ned Behrensmeyer

  • Where: Java Jive
  • 3pm to 5pm
  • Enjoy a mix of classical, rag-time, and modern piano music, performed by local pianist, Ned Behrensmeyer. Sit and enjoy a free concert while sipping a creamy hot chocolate or a chocolate flavored espresso drink over one of many chocolate desserts available for the Chocolate Extravaganza!

3PM-5PM: Cakepop Making Class

  • Mark Twain Dinette
  • 3pm to 5pm
  • Cake pops are (almost) as much fun to make as they are to eat! In this Basic Cake Pop class you and your friends will receive hands-on instruction in making classic round cake pops, starting with the cake destruction stage. We will provide the pre-baked cake, melting chocolate, decorations, and other supplies. Cost: $25 for each person. Price includes instruction and 12 classic round cake pops per student.

3PM-5PM: Passport holder's Free wine tasting
