In 1903, Atlas Portland Cement Company built a plant in the small community of Ilasco. In 1910, Mollie Heinbach inherited her husband’s tract of land that formed much of the proposed town-site. The play chronicles the 17-year legal battle between Mollie, her sister Euphemia and those who sought control of the land. Told through the lens of Mark Twain’s wry wit, INSANE SISTERS proves once again that truth can be stranger than fiction.

The Cannibal is a 5/10/15K run or a 5K walk that starts in beautiful downtown Hannibal, and proceeds south along the Mississippi River and straight up one of Hannibal’s toughest hills, the infamous Lover’s Leap, before returning to the downtown area. The Cannibal is a U.S.A. Track and Field certified course.

The Fun Run is for children ages 10 and under. Everyone receives a medal and a cool T-shirt. Children can run 1/2 K (.3 mile) or 1K (.6 mile) on a closed course. Cost is $15 per child. All Fun Run registration fees benefit Hannibal Children's Center. The Fun Run immediately follows the Hannibal Cannibal (approximately 9:00 a.m.)
