Mission Statement and Purpose

The Historic Hannibal Marketing Council is a cooperative marketing organization whose mission is to promote the economic prosperity of its members through the following means:

  • Working to preserve and protect the historic character of the traditional downtown.

  • Working to beautify the streetscape of the traditional downtown.

  • Fostering cooperation among members and between the HHMC and other community stakeholders.

  • Providing a unified voice for members on larger issues which impact the economic well-being of members.




Membership dues are billed annually upon membership date. Dues contribute to HHMC projects such as sponsored events, beautification funds, and more.


The Board of Directors meets every third Tuesday at 5:15pm at The Mark Twain Museum - all members are welcome to attend. General membership meetings occur quarterly at a to be determined location.
