Historic Downtown Hannibal is home to many unique festivals and events. Hannibal has an event for everyone from parades, car shows, food and music festivals to celebrations of Mark Twain and a national recognized Steampunk Festival. Here is a list of several dozen annual events to plan to attend!

Wing Ding: January 25th, 2020

The Annual Wing Ding is hosted by the Hannibal Jaycees & Mark Twain Distributing. They work together to bring together the best wings in Hannibal for you to taste your way through! Enjoy live music, wings, friends, and fun!

Love on the Rocks - Historic Hannibal, MO

Love on the Rocks: February 2020

Celebrate Valentines Day with 'Love on The Rocks,' a walking dinner tour, hosted by the Mark Twain Cave and Cave Hollow West Winery. The tour presents stops that tell the history of the cave with a dinner course at each stop paired with a glass of Cave Hollow West Winery wine.

Chili Cook-Off: February 15th, 2020

The opportunity to taste some of the best chili in the tri-states is here! Teams from around the area will bring their best secret recipes and the winner is up to you. Come join us at the Admiral Coontz Armory for a day of entertainment and tasty sampling.

Last Dinner on the Titanic:

April 14, 2020

Enjoy the Original Dinner Menu items presented to the First Class passengers on the maiden voyage of the RMS Titanic as it sailed to its fate across the Atlantic from Southampton to New York. Feel free to dress in Period attire!

Comedy on the River: April 16-19

Brew Skies Music Festival:

June 5-6th, 2020

Ultimate summer music festival and beer tasting adventure in Northeast Missouri. A wide variety of musical genres will be represented with many original singer songwriters as well as tributes to some of the greats. Vintage VW gathering and exhibit, more than 35 vendors offering unique shopping experiences, camping, food, and much more. All entertainment is family friendly and kids 12 and under are free.

Lone Wolf Bike Show:

June 2020

A must see for motorcycle enthusiasts! A variety of bikes will line Hill Street in the heart of historic downtown Hannibal. Registration opens at 8 am; trophies will be handed out at 2 pm. Enjoy seeing a ton of bikes and enjoy music while you stroll Main Street!

Samuel L. Clemens Arts & Crafts Festival:

July 3-5, 2020

Held during National Tom Sawyer Days in Central park, located at 4th & Broadway near all the other National Tom Sawyer Days events and activities. Crafts and special handcrafted items are the name of the game during this festival! The Evening Kiwanis Club of Hannibal sponsors the Samuel L. Clemens Arts & Crafts Festival.

National Tom Sawyer Days:

June 27-July 4th, 2020

A Hannibal tradition for over 60 years, the National Tom Sawyer Days contests include the National Fence Painting Competition, the frog-jump contest and the Tom & Becky Contest. Come help us highlight Hannibal’s unique history through reenactments, arts & crafts, and more.

Other activities include a huge craft festival, a mud volleyball tournament, horseshoe tournament, carnival rides, live music every night in the beer garden, and a spectacular firework display over the Mississippi River on the 4th of July.

Hannibal Cannibal 5K/10K/15K:

July 4th, 2020

5K/10K/15K Runs begin at 7:00 am, the walkers will begin immediately following the runners and the Fun Run begins at approximately 9:00 am. Each participant will receive a Hanni​bal Cannibal t-shirt, cinch sack race bag, bib, finisher's medal, and other goodies.

Bear Creek Rendezvous:

August 8-9th, 2020

Relive the early 1800s and experience Native American culture by visiting the annual Bear Creek Rendezvous. The event will include demonstrations of primitive knife and tomahawk throwing, woodworking, flint napping, gun-ball making, tanning, pottery making and Native American cooking. Children’s games will be played, and Native American genealogy will be shared.

Big River Steampunk Festival - Historic Hannibal, MO

Big River Steampunk Festival:

September 4th-7th, 2020

Big River Steampunk Festival is held every labor day weekend and is hosted by the Hannibal History Museum! Immerse yourself in a world of steampunk and cosplay. This festival will shock and amaze Steampunk enthusiast and curious bystanders alike with parades, costume contests, steampunk vendors, an air ship village, nerf dueling, tea pot racing, world class entertainers and more!

The annual Veteran's Day Parade will honors the men and women who have served our country. The entries start forming at the Save-A-Lot parking lot at 1222 Broadway in Hannibal, MO. The parade proceeds down Broadway with a stop in front of the Elks Lodge #1198 for a brief ceremony! Organized a group to be a part of the event or come to honor our Veterans!
